Les grandes tables de l'île
Temporary restaurant on Île Seguin, in Paris
2011Ephemeral architecture
Pending the completion of architect Jean Nouvel's project, the ephemeral architecture brings to life the gardens of this island steeped in history. Les Grandes Tables is a 300m2 restaurant featuring Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Daguin.
The architectural project is a hybridization between an agricultural greenhouse, a barge, and a timber-framed house. Made of building materials such as scaffolding, fiberboard panels, and containers, it is designed to be augmented by video and lighting effects for evenings and events.
