An abstract journey into one of humanity's possible futures, in which resources become scarce and landscapes desertify. All the world is left with is a wasteland of surreal moments. Inspired by the world of the film Koyaanisqatsi, 2048 D.C. is a 45-minute live audiovisual performance featuring real-time images and electronic music. Video projection is augmented by a red laser, which is mapped onto the moving images while traversing this imaginary space.
